Happy Independence Nigeria - Special Prayers For Nigeria & Nigerians : From The Desk Of Samuel Makuochi-

Friends, let us pray for Nigeria. God is able to change any nation. Let us pray for GOD's wisdom, guidance and direction for our leaders as they make efforts to tackle some of the issues confronting the country and her people. Let us also thank God for the little peace we are witnessing in Nigeria; pray that they will be sustained and improved upon.

The Bible (Christian Holy Book) says in 2 Chronicle 7:14
"If My People, Which Are Called By My Name, Shall Humble Themselves, And Pray, And Seek My Face, And Turn From Their Wicked Ways; Then Will I Hear From Heaven, And Will Forgive Their Sin, And Will Heal Their Land"

I believe that Nigeria can overcome all her challenges, I believe that Nigeria can recover all it's lost time and resources, I believe Nigeria and Nigerians can still build bridges across tribes and religion, I believe that Nigerians can live in peace....................Nigeria can still be great again.

Happy Independence Nigeria

Sincerely

Reverend Father Ejike C. Mbaka: President, Founder And Spiritual Director - Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria (AMEN).

Reverend Father Ejike C. Mbaka:

Ejike Mbaka, is a Roman Catholic Reverend Father based in Enugu a recognized for his firebrand and pentecostal-styled type of preaching. He is heavily filled (drunken) with the Holy Ghost with remarkable evidence of Speaking in Other Tongues. His ministrations are characterized by miracles, Signs and wonders. Mbaka’s weekly all-night adoration crusade at the permanent site of his ministry; Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria (AMEN) has never ceased to inspire Catholic faithfuls to attend his programme.

Notably, his spiritual gifts, especially, working of miracles have checked the movement of Catholic faithfuls to other miracle-happening churches. It has also brought Anglicans, Pentecostals, Methodists to increase the crowd of people in his ministrations and People fly from abroad to come to for his weekly crusade and fly back. Inspite of the ill-fated event of March 7 where 14 of the worshippers died under mysterious circumstances as well as the controversies it generated, that did not reduce the growing profile of this heavily anointed minister of God.

Born from the moral household of Chief Humphrey Ogbuefi (Late) and Felicia Mbaka in Amata Ituku in Awgu L.G.A of Enugu State, Nigeria, Father Mbaka is the only son of the parents. Little wonder his birth was greeted with full praises and blessing to God. The Infant Mbaka was named Ejike due to the consciousness of the fact that all powers belong to God not excluding authority to determine the sex of a child. His father got a reprive that at last, his successor has arrived!

Young Ejike C Mbaka, though fully consumed by his home chores, still secured enough time to commune with God. He was around to help his beloved mother in the kitchen and accompanied his father to their famous trade of wine tapping, ensuring that all tapped wine got sold except for the one set aside to entertain their visitors. Once through with domestic demands, Mbaka would dash out to organize Block Rosary Prayers where he regularly assumed the role of Francisco (one of the three children visited by Blessed Virgin Mary in Fatima in Portugal in the year 1917). Also he is deeply involved in the charismatic activities of his village parish, St. Anthony’s Parish Ituku where he led the prayer warrior team. He is well loved by his parents and the entire Ituku community.

However, as soon as “Cami” stated his aspiration to join the priesthood, he incured the wrath of his father (Pa Ogbuefi) and his kinsme, who not only disagreed with the idea but also victimized their little boy and made life one unhappy for him. One can pitifully appreciate his father’s situation at the time because as the only son the news of his priesthood pursuit was equivalent to sacrifice (death), which means that the young Mbaka was forever lost with the hopeless consequences of shutting down their linage (in igbo culture). Strong-minded, he remained resolute to the divine call to serve his creator. After his post-primary education at St. Vincent’s secondary school Agbogugn in Awgu L.G.A of Eungu state, Nigeria, he progressed to Seat of Wisdom Seminary Owerri and St Joseph’s Ikot Ekpene for his priestly training, and nurturing to priesthood.

On July 29th 1995, Rev. Ejike C. Mbaka was ordained a priest of the Holy Roman Catholic Church, a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek. This notable event signified the victory of light over darkness to the glory of God. Straightaway, the Catholic Church in Nigeria knew that the eagle has landed. The young Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka was posted to the Holy Ghost Cathedral, the headquarters of Catholic Church in Enugu Diocese as the Assistant Diocesan Administration.

This God’s General; Rev. Fr. Mbaka is a strong believer in the power of the Eucharist and the Word of God, hence he is so familiar with most chapters/verses and can preach for hours without getting tired. For him the Eucharist is the essence, soul and life of the church. He is also of the strong view that prayer is the key to the door of all human requests to heaven. He insists that the people must pray their way out; with his popular injunction to pray until Something Happens (PUSH). A great philosopher and highly talented with resourceful mind, Father Mbaka is an amiable soul-winner who knows those little things the people need to be happy and fulfilled. He has a philantropic heart, hates discrimination and relates with all irrespective of class, race, religion, colour etc. A songwriter and musician, most of his songs usually originate while he is sleeping. He has so many albums to his credit and has been honoured at various times by Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PIMAN).

Among many altercations with authorities with respect to his principles and percieved poor governance cum corruption,

He drew the attention of the nation and beyond, with his now famous New Year Prophesy of 2015 stating that the then incumbent President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan should resign and stop contesting for re-election, tagging him as Bad Luck for Nigeria. Amdst critisms and reported threats to his life and ministry, he took the other Men of God to the “cleaners’. His prophesy against all odds, was clinical, phorensic and unmistakably came to pass. The then opposition candidate General Muhamadu Buhari clearly defeated the incumbent president and the rest they say is history.

Father Ejike C Mbaka is no doubt Anointed, Apostolic, Prophetic and Evangelistic. Little wonder why Adoration Ministries Enugu Nigeria (AMEN) has flourished and grown remarkably under his leaderships, direction, guidance and mentoring.

We gracefully present this Man of God, Rev. Fr. Ejike Camillius Anthony Ebenezer Mbaka, as one of God’s Generals of Nigeria. - From: Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria (AMEN).

Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai: Founder and President of the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association, Uyo Nigeria.

Reverend Dr. Uma Ukpai
Being a man of prodigious purpose, this Man of God and Apostle of Miracles saw himself as a great preacher from his teenage yers. It is on record that when the governor of the then Eastern Nigeria visited his school, Uma was one of the three boys His Excellency asked what they hoped to become in future. While the other boys stated they would be medical doctors and a lawyer respectively, Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai self-confidently and pointedly said he would be a preacher. A great preacher he is, today!

Uma Ukpai is one of the most anointed and highly outstanding ministers of our generation. He speaks across the world extensively on issues of salvation, faith, healing, breaking of curses and covenants, and spiritual leadership. In town after town, across the length and breadth of Nigeria and beyond, he has mobilized God’s people into action. His crusades attract crowds that number in hundreds of thousands, and spectacular moves of the Holy Spirit in these meetings have resulted in amazing miracles of healing and other manifestations of the Holy Spirit. Be it in Europe, America, Africa or Asia, the result has been the same – people tumbling over under the anointing of the Holy Ghost, sick bodies healed, barren women becoming mothers, marriages healed. He is therefore understandably much in demand in crusades, conferences, and seminars around the world.

Born in January 1945 at Asaga, Ohafia, in Abia State, Nigeria, Uma Ukpai lost his father at a very tender age, a development that almost brought to an end his educational pursuit. Though he had uncles who could sponsor his educational pursuit, his Christian background pitched him against them. Consequently, he learnt to work and save money in order to finance his way through post-primary school. He is a graduate of the School of Journalism and Television, Frisham, Hermitage, United Kingdom; South Florida Christian College, Miami, Florida, USA; Carolina Christian University and Burke Bible College, Kentucky, USA. He holds a Certificate in Electrical Engineering Practice, a Diploma in Journalism, a Bachelor and Doctorate Degrees in Divinity.
Recounting his first manifestation of the power of God after he met Christ, young Uma stated

“a mad man came to our school and pursued everybody. He was a healthy looking man and he made me wonder if the life of a mad man wasn’t better than that of a normal person. He came into the school and he was stark naked. His name was Deco. As people were running away from him in school, God said to me that I could also make him run away. It was a strange voice that I heard. I commanded the mad man to roll out of the school. He fell and he rolled out of the school”.

This God’s General has also experienced great losses. Although he revealed that God spoke to him two months before those incidences. He says
“God had told me on that day, I won’t answer your prayers. I want to test you and know how you love Me.”

As early as 5.00 a.m that morning, armed robbers broke into his beautiful office and made away with his office equipments; God instructed him to forgive the robbers and never collect back the stolen items. He also lost his children, causin and almost lost his darling wife when his trusted driver ran into the river, on his way to a crusade in his village. Just then, he got another shocker when he was informed his 50-sitter bus carrying his band had caught fire and many people died. He was composed because God had warned him of this great test. But God showed up in 1982 while he was preparing for Greater Ibadan for Christ Crusade. God said to him, for handling that case well, you will be seen everywhere. God told him clearly that He has detailed 100 angels to be with him wherever he goes in this world. God has since blessed and restored to him and his wife, 6 children, a beautiful home and a wonderful ministry.

Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai met the Lord in 1958. He is the author of over fourteen books and has conducted television ministry for many years. He is the president of the Nigerian Council of Gospel Ministers (COGMON) and also the National Chairman of Think-Tank Committee of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN). His Ministry gave birth to PFN in 1985 after Greater Lagos For Christ Crusade with 5000 choristers and 7,110 as counsellors. Now he is the National Vice President of PFN.

He is the Chairman, King of Kings Medical Outreach Int’l Inc. with a full-fledged hundred-bed Specialist Hospital in Abia State. He is the initiator of the One Million Man Crusade, commissioned with the vision of breaking the curses under which the black man labors. There have been outstanding results. He is presently building Kings All Nations University in Asaga, Ohafia that will train people to assemble, fly, and maintain aircrafts. He is the founder of Greater Ohafia For Christ Crusade. Rev

Dr Uma Ukpai is an International Evangelist who has conducted crusades in many parts of the world. He is a co-author with Billy Graham and other great men of God on "The Work of An Evangelist". A speaker in Amsterdam '93, Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai is the first African main speaker at the World Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International (FGBMFI) World Convention '96, Miami, USA.
Perhaps one of the most anointed Men of God in this generation, the servant of God is highly sought after to minister across the globe where he minister extensively on salvation, faith, healing, and spiritual leadership.

Despite his very busy schedule in any part of the world, he never neglects his covenant with God to be at Victory Cathedral, his home base fellowship every Wednesday to minister to his many followers. He is married to Philomena and they are blessed with six children.
We gracefully present this God’s General, Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai, Founder and President of the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association, Uyo Nigeria.

Archbishop Benson A Idahosa: Founder Church of God Missions Worldwide

Benson A Idahosa –The Revelation

“During one of my night’s sleep, I was woken up by a voice while my room was filled with the presence of God. The Lord was telling me about His plans for my life -I have called you that you might take the gospel around the world in my name, preach the gospel, and I will confirm my word with signs following”.

Benson A. Idahosa took, known for his courage, authority and prosperity-based preaching, as well as an great belief in the supernatural, was influential to the strong wave of revival in the Christian faith and noticeable conversions from animism that took place in Nigeria between the 1970s and 1990s. Among the christian community, he is noted and referred to as the father of Pentecostalism in Nigeria, and was the founding President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN). Many Nigerian pastors including the likes of David Oyedepo, Ayo Oritsejafor (current President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN)), Felix Omobude, Bishop Mike Okonkwo and Chris Oyakhilome, Apostle Johnson Suleman were his protégés.

Arch Bishop Benson A Idahosa (11 September 1938 – 12 March 1998) was born to non-Christian parents in a mostly non-Christian community and he was the fourth of nine children of Late Pa John Idahosa. He was rejected by his father, John, for being frail and sickly. He constantly had fainting spells as a child, and on one of his spells, his mother, Sarah, abandoned him at a rubbish heap presuming him dead. Hours later, he came to, and began wailing and was rescued by his mother. He grew up in a underprivileged household and had no access to education until he was fourteen years old, when he was able to attend a local school. As a young man, he repented and became a christian through the hand of a certain Pastor Okpo of the Assemblies of God were he became one of his first members. He was very active in evangelism and had a supernatural encounter; a revelation from God calling him into ministry. After this experience he began to do more evangelistic meetings and outreaches. He would ask the Chiefs who head the villages for permission to conduct an evangelistic meeting in their village, during which he established his church in a store in Benin City. Within few years they outgrew the place and finally bought a piece of land to erect a bigger building.

While studying for a Diploma in Divinity at the United States of America, he read T.L.Osbourne’s book on evangelism and he was inspired to massively evangelize Benin his home town. On return to Nigeria, Arch Bishop B A Idahosa organized the first of his many crusades at Ogbe stadium in Benin which attracted 10,000 people. This crusade was publicized on radio stations, print posters and leaflets; the first of its kind in Nigeria by a black man, as it was American evangelists who usually do this sort of thing.

By 1971, he had founded churches all over Nigeria and Ghana. The headquarters of his ministry, Church of God Mission (Faith Miracle Center), is a massive cathedral that accommodate about 10,000 people. His ministry has branches all over the world, ranging from Africa to Europe and America to Asia. Because his main assignment is evangelism, he initiated Idahosa World Outreach television ministry (IWO TV), which was a broadcast reaching an estimated viewing audience of 50 million people.

God performed many miracles through his hands, including healing the blind, and raising up to twenty-eight people from the dead at different times in his ministry etc. He was known for many notable quotes among whom are "Faith is not a superstition or an intention but an action” “my God is not a poor God", "your attitude determines your altitude", "it is more risky, not to take a risk", "I am a possibilitarian", "A big head without a big brain is a big load to the neck", "If your faith says yes, God cannot say no", among others. He had strong ties with renowned gospel preachers like Billy Graham, Oral Roberts, T. L. Osborn, Kenneth Hagin, Benny Hinn, Reinhard Bonnke, Morris Cerullo among others; and preached in over 144 countries of the world.

In 1981, Arch Bishop Benson A Idahosa was ordained as the first Pentecostal Church Bishop in Nigeria by David Du plesis (known as Mr. Pentecost) and two other Bishops. He also pioneered a television ministry, ‘Redemption Hour’ which made him to become the first TV evangelist in Africa. The desire of this highly anointed Man of God to be a blessing and to meet the needs of the total man inspired him to start many projects of the ministry apart from the church. They include the Faith Mediplex, All Nations for Christ Bible Institute, Word of Faith Group of Schools and Benson Idahosa University which is currently under the leadership of his son, Rev. F. E. B. Idahosa.

In 1971, he earned a diploma in Divinity from Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas. Other qualifications includes:

  • Doctorate of Divinity in 1981 from the Word of Faith College in New Orleans.
  • In 1984, he earned a Doctorate in Law at the Oral Roberts University.
  • He was the founding president of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN)
  • He was a member of the College of Bishops of the International Communion of Christian Churches.
  • He was once the President of All Nations for Christ Bible Institute.

Arch Bishop Benson A Idahosa was married to his wife, Margaret Idahosa who is the current presiding Arch Bishop of the Church of God Missions. They have about four children. Before his death in 1998, he was reported to have preached to more whites than any black man, and to more blacks than any white man.
